Season’s Greetings

What a first year it’s been for The Rainbow Poems.

Highlights have included our launch in spring 2020, being inundated (in a good way) with hundreds of wonderful poems and bringing on board new colleagues. We’ve made connections with writers from around the world to build a vibrant new home for poetry by and for anyone going through life change or uncertainty. All that achieved through the power of words - amazing!

Our Rainbow Poets have written of bereavement and grief, job loss, major illness, ageing, relationship breakdowns, family troubles, losing friends, mental health and that rudderless feeling that we all sometimes have. We released a special Remembrance Edition in November 2020 which was hugely popular - we hope to run further themed editions in the coming year.

Each of our Rainbow Poets has all written their words bravely, honestly and sensitively. Despite writing about a difficult experience or emotion, our poets have brought our readers light, love and beauty - which are vital to The Rainbow Poems’ mission. We thank each of you sincerely for being a part of this unique and caring community.

Please look after each other this holiday season. Appreciate the little things and if you hear of someone who is alone this year, don’t wait - just give them a call to check in. Christmas reminds us of love, family and most of all, hope in new beginnings. Let’s make 2021 the year of hope.

Best wishes,

The Rainbow Poems Team

We will return in January 2021 with more poetry goodness. We’ll be trialling an exciting new format which we hope will allow us to provide a greater range of events, interviews and readings.

We will be checking emails during the festive season from time to time, but would appreciate if you would keep non-essential emails to a minimum. Thank you!
