Welcome and Thank You

Welcome to our first Special Edition of The Rainbow Poems to mark Remembrance Day 2020. We are glad to stand with you in commemoration and gratitude today.

We have received contrbutions from all over the world for this Special Edition. We hear from poets with lived experience of military service - from Korea to Iraq to Afghanistan. We hear the voices of men and women from across generations. Our poets bring you World War I grafitti, a Wilfred Owen statue, a red-breasted robin and of course, poppies.

Let us take a moment to remember the cost of war, the price of peace and renew our commitment to a world without conflict.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this Special Edition. Each of you has a very special place in our Rainbow Poems family.
